BOOKING CONDITIONS

Reservations should be made in advance as far as possible. The 50% deposit is required in order to confirm your reservation and then we will send you a very complete Pre-Departure Information which one tell you what you need to know to prepare for your trip, including packing list, tips, health issues, tipping the crew, weather and climate information, optional Pre or Post available tours, etc. The final payment will be a month before arrival for your trip.

If you book your trip the last month prior to the departure date, the full payment will be when we confirm your participation.

CHANGES AND TRANSFERS:

After that we confirmed your trip any change or transfer will be available if is on time to do, but this one required for us to work again the reservations, we reserve the extra charge for our administrative services.

CANCELATION AND REFUNDS:

If for any reason you decide to cancel your trip, we will be need a written notification, the company will be refund deposit payments after deducting the non-recoverable supplier expenses (such us air tickets, train tickets, entrance fee tickets, hotel and other pre- payments) all of them based upon date of receipt.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

The Thin Air Outfitters travel company offers Extraordinary Cultural and Adventures Opportunities for Extraordinary Travelers. Our prices are no covered the travel insurance, but we strongly recommend to purchase a travel insurance policy, Check before to leave your country the different options of existing insurance policies. The cost of travel insurance varies widely, depending on the cost and length of your trip, your age, your health, and the type of your trip. Some insurers provide packages for specialty vacations such as skiing or backpacking. Rescue or evacuation insurance for mountaineers and ice climbers is a good idea because rescue operations in the Andes are time-sensitive and extremely expensive, “Dangerous” activities might be excluded from basic policies, we recommend very strongly to select or check very carefully the terms and conditions of the insurance policy, specially about Trip cancellations, Medical Insurance, Lost Baggage Insurance.
